ConsignmentConsignment businesses sell other people's stuff (with their permission of course!), in return for a commission, often a percentage of the sales price. For example, Terry Gibbs, author of "The Complete Guide To eBay Consignment Sales" says he charges 30% of the sales price.The advantage of a consignment business is that you don't have to buy items to sell yourself (and therefore aren't at risk of getting stuck with lots of items that you are unable to sell).
